The Investigations Division is comprised of two units, the General Investigations Unit and the Youth/Domestic Violence Unit.

The detectives assigned to the General Investigations Unit are responsible for the prevention of crime and the investigation ​of criminal cases, the detention and arrest of criminal offenders, the location of missing persons, the recovery of lost and stolen property, and the proper coordination with other authorities.

The detectives assigned to the Youth/Domestic Violence Unit are responsible for the investigation of juvenile cases as well as cases involving Domestic Violence. The detectives conduct outreach  with schools within the municipality and provide educational opportunities such as DARE, Stranger Danger, Online Safety, and the like. The detectives also provide resources and services for victims of domestic violence.
