Know Your Rights Community Meeting – 06/16/2026
Officer June Sanchez, Sergeant Edgar Moreta, and Chief P.J. Trujillo recently participated in a Know Your Rights community meeting hosted at the Community Resource Center. The event brought together residents, local leaders, and public safety partners for an open conversation about impaired driving and its impact on our community.
During the session, our officers discussed the real‑world dangers of driving while intoxicated, how impairment affects judgment and reaction time, and the serious consequences that can follow—both legally and personally. They also explained the department’s efforts to reduce impaired driving, including enforcement strategies, preventive outreach, and ways the public can help promote safer roadways.

“These meetings give us an important opportunity to answer questions, clear up misconceptions, and build stronger, more informed relationships with the people we serve. We’re grateful to all the community members who attended, engaged in the discussion, and shared their perspectives. Working together, we can continue to make the Village of Mamaroneck a safer place for everyone”
Chief Trujillo
